Two Port Harcourt startups are among fifty startups selected for the last round of Ventures Platform Cohort2 search tagged #VpTheHunt. Ventures Platform announced the shortlist via their Twitter handle on April 6, 2017.
We are excited about meeting & interviewing founders for our cohort 2 in Abuja and Lagos over the next few days. Best of luck guys! ✊🏿

The announcement, however, didn’t contain/provide a list or a link to the shortlists.
We have confirmed that two Startups from Port Harcourt made the list and will be heading to Lagos for the next round. The next round involves face to face interview with Ventures Platform team. There’s no confirmation, however, how many people would make it to Cohort2 but we expect the number to be above the seven they graduated in Cohort1.
In February, 2017, Ventures Platform toured almost the whole of Nigeria and Accra, Ghana, visiting hubs in Port Harcourt, Nsukka, Kaduna, Jos and Lagos in search of Startups. Kayode Oyewole of Ventures Platform wrote about the tour here. We also wrote a post on why the visit to Port Harcourt and Nsukka mattered here.
We are not at liberty to disclose their names at the moment, but one of them is a finalist from last year’s #StartupSouth Pitch. We wish them best of lucks and hope to see them make the cut for the final list. They are interesting startups with strong business and domain experienced founders.
